Charity has once again been a theme in the autumn term for Class 5. We have looked at the Bishop of St. Albans Harvest Appeal – Full of Beans – as well as other charities that are important to us individually.
No Pens Wednesday gave the class an opportunity not only to approach learning in some different and interesting ways – fractions, decimals and percentages bingo, compound nouns spelling matching pairs, group problem solving etc. – but also the chance to try sign language with Class 3.
World War 2 as a topic has been evident in all areas of the curriculum and seems to have captured the imagination of many and the routines of maths drills and the daily mile have been approached with a positive attitude meaning that day to day life in Class 5 has settled quickly.
