So far this term we have learned about...Roald Dahl, Michael Morpurgo, autobiographies, Earth and space, maps, the UK, Sikhism, money, data...and much more!
Our photos this half term showcase the fantastic homework we have been completing. Our teachers are amazed every week at the creative and varied ways in which we complete our homework tasks (and they are particularly impressed with our baking skills!). Some of our homework titles this term have been Roald Dahl, Money, The Solar System and Maps.
This second half of term we have had lots of exciting events! On World Book Day we met Emmy and Jake Coates, the author and illustrator of 'Tara and Tyrone - Stuck in the Mud'. We interviewed them and used this as inspiration for some writing. We also had a K'nex workshop where we were challenged to build a bridge with a moving part. We have finished off the term with a sleepover at the Science Museum in London. We met lots of animals and learned about their links to the Fibonacci sequence and tessellating shapes. We completed a Maths trail and also built polyhedron night-lights. Most of us managed to get a little sleep! The next morning we had time in 'Wonderlab' to explore lots of different scientific ideas, and we watched an iMax movie about the parts of Science that are too small to see.
