This half term we finished our learning about ‘Water’ by thinking about plastic pollution. We wrote letters to a company of our choosing asking them to reduce their use of plastics. So far we have had one reply, we’re waiting for the rest!
We started learning for our new topic ‘Stone Age to Iron Age’ with a wonderful trip to the Ashmolean Museum. We found out lots of fascinating facts about how prehistoric people used to live - ask us about how deer brains were used! We were privileged to be able to handle genuine Stone Age artefacts - one of these was 30,000 years old.
Class 4 also organised a collection for Toilet Twinning as part of our RE work. All classes were invited to help cover the Toilet Twinning logo in coins. A grand total of £72.84 was raised! This means we are able to twin one of our toilets in school and offer vital support to a community overseas.
