Autumn 2022

Class 4 have had a brilliant term of forest school.  Out in all weathers - and nearly all temperatures - they have built shelters, chopped and whittled wood and learnt how to safely light a fire.  They have also enjoyed outdoor cooking, toasting marshmallows and making pancakes!

In English, we have explored syllabic poetry, where the number of lines and number of syllables in each line follow a strict pattern.  The children wrote their own Christmas themed poems, choosing the style of either a haiku, tanka or cinquain to shape the rhythm of their poem.
