Christingle 2017

Every other year we have a Christingle service at church with Revd. Jane. During the morning we build our own Christingles in family groups helped by the WI and all the staff. As we create our Christingles we remember their significance. Using red tape around the middle we remember the blood of Christ, our cocktail sticks show the 4 seasons pointing north, south, east and west. The raisins and the sweets represent the 12 disciples and the fruits of the earth and finally the candle stands for Jesus the light of the world.

We love lighting all the candles once they are made and usually we sing 'Away in a Manger'. The atmosphere is wonderful and then the Christingles are transported to church for our service.
