Autumn 2021

This half term, Class 5 have used the laptops to create visual models to help with a Maths problem solving activity. We have had some amazing 'Charge Up' sessions with Alice, learning all about how our brains work and also some fabulous techniques to calm ourselves down - from breathing exercises to massage to calm jars! Finally, we had a lot of fun working as teams to create Christmas themed games for the school Christmas fair.

Class 5 have enjoyed their sessions in Forest School; they have whittled wooden mushrooms, used ferro rods to light fires, built dens and pulleys, and made and eaten pancakes and s'mores.

Our Art and DT work has focused on our WW2 topic. In Art, the children used a stencilling technique to create London Blitz skylines inspired by Herbert Mason's photograph 'St Paul's Survives.' In DT, groups worked to design and make gas masks.
