Harvest Celebration
All of our children were involved in our Harvest Celebration in church with Revd. Jane.
Class 5 led the service with information about the Bishop of St.Albans' Appeal- Give Peas a Chance. They explained the plight of the Malawi farmers and then told a story with pictures and text that they had written in class about the farmers. Interspersed with our Harvest songs, many of which had been learnt for the Harvest Service in the Abbey, Class 5 then led the Bishop's appeal prayer.
Throughout the school the children had written their thanks on to leaves and a selection of children took the leaves to church for Jane to make into prayer tree after they had shared their thanks with children, staff and parents.
It was a lovely celebration.
